Billing questions.
How do credits work - do they expire?
1 credit = 1 icebreaker. Subscription credits reset each billing cycle; pay-as-you-go credits never expire. If a generation fails, the credit refunds automatically. Checking your balance (API or MCP) is always free.
Is there a free tier?
Every account starts with 25 free credits - no card. After that it's from $9/month for 100 icebreakers, or pay-as-you-go packs from $12 that never expire.
Where does the profile data come from - and how fresh is it?
Meltly reads the prospect's public LinkedIn profile at request time through professional data providers - latest posts, role changes, and headline included. Recent lookups are cached briefly so repeat requests are fast and don't waste credits. You're getting the profile as it looks now, not a months-old snapshot.
What are the rate limits?
Dashboard and extension use fair-use limits (a handful of requests per 10 seconds). API-key traffic has no internal rate limit - your credits are the ceiling. Details in the docs.
